Right, well let me explain in brief… Swedish girl grows up eating, well, swedish meatballs. Mother marries Irishman. Swedish girl now eats swedish meatballs and bubble & squeak. Swedish girl (that’s me) has baby, and sees a sentimental play on words…
Bubble & Squeak: the lovely Sunday family meal... and her baby’s lovely little bubbles and squeaks. Perfect. |

4 bag styles, 3 years, 2 babies, 1 supportive husband, many talented friends, and even many more pizzas (sorry honey)… and so was born quite a lovely little line of diapering kits called Bubble & Squeak. |

I had spent 4 naive months trying to refashion my post-pregnancy body into something I could look at without wincing… it was finally time to face my “regular” clothes.
While trying in vain to pull my “regular” jeans up beyond the middle of my now irregular thighs, I realized that my base chakra was quite a bit larger than it was before. At that point, the only things that made me feel sufficiently fabulous were the only wardrobe items that did not rebel… shoes and handbags. And not, mind you, the diaper bags on the market at that time.
I’m referring to my lovely, pre-pregnancy, “I look fabulous” handbags. In order to use my handbag to carry baby’s necessities, the first bubble & squeak diapering kit was made, in my kitchen, with baby in her bassinet sleeping to the hum of the sewing machine. Made from oilcloth, ribbons and some velcro it held my baby’s diapers and wipes, and fit into my favorite handbag! Like the day you were magically able to pat your head and rub your tummy, the diapering kit effortlessly achieved the previously impossible…
Who says you cannot look cute carrying diapers? We hope our diapering kits help you feel sufficiently fabulous in your post-pregnancy body too. They will definitely help organize all of baby’s fiddly-bits, and protect his/her diapers from the dodgy bits at the bottom of your favorite, I-feel-fabulous bag! Happy Baby!
